This fully automated Meier laminator is currently on the market for an attractive price. The machine is pre-owned but has not seen much action. It was used in a laboratory environment by the previous owner, a backsheet manufacturer in Germany.

What can it laminate?

• Standard modules (glass/EVA/backsheet).
• Double glass modules (e.g. bifacial modules).
• Flexible thin film modules.
• Any type of encapsulant.

Manufacturing capacity

With an active lamination area of 1,700 x 2,700 it can hold one 72-cell module or two 60-cell modules. The laminator is ideal for a university or research laboratory or a small pilot line.

• Fully automated with input and output conveyor tables.
• Advanced control system with operator touchscreen console, recipe management, data logging, recipe editor.
• Rotating upper release sheet.

About the manufacturer

The laminator was manufactured 2007 by the company Meier Vacuumtechnik GmbH in Germany. Meier was a household name in the PV industry for advanced lamination equipment up until 2009 when it ran into insolvency. 

Meier laminators are robust, easy to operate, reliable. Spare parts and service are provided by SM Innotech in Germany.
